Boeing 747SR-81
(Nippon Helicopter).
All Nippon Airways’ carry-on luggage size
ANA offers different carry-on luggage allowances depending on flight route: domestic Japan flights and international flights.
- Domestic Japan flights: One full-size carry-on bag and one personal item (handbag, camera, umbrella, or other small item) less than 22lbs. The size of the full-size carry-on bag size varies by the number of seats on the aircraft (seat numbers of aircraft can be found here):
- 100 seats or more: Carry-on bag dimensions are 22in X 16in X 10in (total linear dimensions 45.28in or less)
- Less than 100 seats: Carry-on bag dimensions are 17.72 X 13.78 X 7.87 (total linear dimensions 39.37in or less)
- International flights: one full-size carry-on bag and one personal item (handbag, camera, umbrella, or other small item) less than 22lbs.
Carry-on bags must fit in the overhead bin and personal items must fit under the seat in front of you.
Passengers can also purchase a ticket for an item too fragile or bulky to be handled as checked luggage that can be carried on board and transported in a seat. Adults accompanied by an infant who is not occupying a seat can check a fully collapsible stroller, carrying basket, and child car seat free of charge. Infants seated in their own seats and children follow the same luggage allowances as adults. Additional information, including answers to frequently asked questions, can be found here.

ANA offers a frequent flyer program called ANA Mileage Club whereby regular passengers can earn miles by purchasing flights or shopping from other participating ANA Mileage Club partners.
Family Account Service allows passengers to combine the miles earned by a family, and to redeem awards such as ANA and Partner Flight Awards and ANA International Upgrade Awards.
When a passenger makes an ANA flight booking, they can collect frequent flyer points with Alternative Airlines. Go to our Airline Alliances page to find out how, or check out our article on airline loyalty programs to learn more about which frequent flyer program to join.
